That week, Claude Code began reading AGENTS.md when a project has no CLAUDE.md ^[1], and GitHub scheduled six Copilot models for removal on October 19, 2026 ^[4].

   Six models leave Copilot on October 19

   GitHub announced that Gemini 3.7 Flash, GPT-5.5, GPT-5.4, GPT-5.4 mini, GPT-5 mini and Grok 4.5 will be removed from Copilot on October 19, 2026 ^[4]. Teams with workflows pinned to those model names have about a month to move.
